What's the difference between a merchant account and a gateway?

Your merchant account is the bank-side relationship that lets you accept cards. The gateway is the software that sends transactions to it. You need both — we set up both, in one workflow.

Can I use my existing merchant account?

Sometimes. If you have an account at a compatible processor, we can connect a new gateway to it. Most of the time it's faster (and cheaper) to start fresh with us.

Do you support recurring billing and subscriptions?

Yes. Both NMI and Authorize.Net have built-in recurring engines and a tokenized vault, so you can charge cards on a schedule without storing card data.

What about chargebacks?

We give you a chargeback dashboard, alert tools, and a specialist who'll help you respond to disputes. We can't make chargebacks zero, but we can keep you off the watch list.

Can I accept cards in person and online with the same merchant account?

Yes. We pair an in-person merchant account (Clover or Valor) with an online gateway under one funded relationship. One deposit, one statement.
